A CookBook By Students For Students
The Project
For this assignment, our task was to identify a community issue and address it through the lens of visual aesthetics. We chose to use vibrant colors and illustrations in our cookbook design to embody this aesthetic approach. To use our project as a community intervention, we engaged Miami University students, gathering recipes and narratives about their culinary experiences and beliefs. Through our cookbook, we aim to make a meaningful impact on students who might be feeling overwhelmed by the prospect of beginning to cook.
“How To Be a College Chef” was developed as a group project between three peers and myself. My primary focus was illustrating all of the visuals in this book and creating the final layouts in InDesign.
